CRITICALLY INJURED ATTACK VICTIM AIRLIFTED TO SYDNEY

A man has been airlifted to Sydney with a fractured skull, after he was allegedly attacked with a brick and a bottle in the state’s north west.

Around 1:30am yesterday, police responded to reports of a large fight at property on Green Street in Tamworth.

When they arrived, police found a man with serious head and facial injuries.

The 32-year-old man was later airlifted to John Hunter Hospital.

Due to the extent of his injuries, he was then flown to a hospital in Sydney. He remains in a critical but stable condition with a fractured skull.

Police are now appealing for any witnesses of the attack to contact them.
