A shotgun has been fired during a confrontation between two groups of people on the Gold Coast overnight.
Around 1.15am, a vehicle arrived at an address on Renfrew Drive in Highland Park while a gathering was taking place at the property.
Police say one of the people in the car went around to the backyard of the house and fired three rounds.
No one was injured as a result of the gunshots, however two men sustained minor injuries after confronting the occupants of the vehicle.
They were transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.
The car, described as a a Ford Focus or similar vehicle, fled the scene.
Police are now appealing to anyone who may have any CCTV or dashcam footage of interest to contact them, and would also like to speak with anyone who has any information in relation to the incident.
