A man will be extradited from Newcastle to Queensland today to face charges, following a domestic incident on the Gold Coast.
It’s alleged the 50-year-old assaulted, choked and threw petrol over a 45-year-old woman at an address in Upper Coomera in late March.
The man is expected to face charges including choking, suffocating, strangulation associated with domestic violence and two counts of assault occasioning bodily harm associated with domestic violence offence.
He is scheduled to face court on April 7.
