FLOOD WARNING FOR LIVESTOCK AND FARM EQUIPMENT AT WILLIAMS RIVER

The NSW State Emergency Service has issued a livestock and equipment warning for the upper catchment of the Williams River near Dungog.

Several roads may also need to close following heavy rain in the area over the past 24 hours.

Some residents may become isolated, as Fosterton Road may close at Fosterton Bridge, Newells Crossing.

Other potential road closures may happen at the southern end of Alison Road at Thalaba Bridge and Banfield Bridge at Glen William.

Land owners and farmers adjacent to rivers and creeks are advised to monitor river levels, and relocate farm machinery and livestock to higher ground.

The SES is monitoring the situation and people in the area are advised to follow their warnings and advice.
