A spokesperson for Corrective Services says the 82-year-old was taken from Long Bay Jail to Prince of Wales Hospital on March 20 and died yesterday from a terminal illness.

The elderly farmer was sentenced to a minimum of 24 years in prison for the shooting murder of New South Wales environmental officer and Tamworth father Glen Turner in 2014.
