Isolated thunderstorms have produced some heavy downpours. The most notable is Moree, receiving a month’s worth of rain – 55mm in an hour last night.
Today the showers and storms have been scattered, with numerous areas across the region affected by the hole in the middle of the rotating low so the sun has been out. Temperatures have climbed and humidity levels have been very high.
Tomorrow the heavy rain will begin to build on the northern NSW coast. These heavy falls will continue through the week, increasing to the point of potential flooding. Inland afternoon showers and storms will develop.
There’ll be scattered showers and rain for the Central Coast and Hunter, but it shouldn’t be as severe as the north coast.
