Most of the coast has been battered by large waves, strong southerly winds and isolated showers.
Friday will be very similar to Thursday, but by the end of the day the low should begin to move away from the coast further.
Across the weekend, the winds will drop off and the swell will ease and the mercury will be back on the rise for a warm, mostly sunny weekend to unfold.
