A six-year-old has died after a quad bike crash west of Narrabri.
Five children aged between six and 13 were on board two quad bikes on a rural property near Pilliga, just after midday on Sunday.
One of the quad bikes carrying three children left a road and struck a tree. The six-year-old died at the scene. Two 13-year-old girls were also injured. None of the girls lived at the property.
Police are investigating whether the girls were wearing helmets.
