DRUGS, CASH AND REPLICA FIREARMS SEIZED IN TARGETED MOTORCYCLE GANG OPERATION

Police have arrested a number of outlaw motorcycle gang members and seized replica firearms, illicit drugs and cash, during targeted police operations on the Central Coast.

Since September last year, police have been investigating drug supply and firearms offences in the local area.

Enquiries led police to execute four search warrants on Wednesday this week, at homes in Umina Beach, Empire Bay and Tumbi Umbi

During the raids, police allegedly seized two replica firearms, ammunition, more than $40,000 cash, methylamphetamine, cannabis, steroids, human growth hormones, drug paraphernalia, mobile phones, computers, and electronic storage devices.

A 26-year-old Umina Beach man, who is an associate of Bandidos OMCG, was charged with supply prohibited drug, possess prohibited drug, two counts of possess prescribed restricted substance, and proceeds of crime.

A 50-year old man was also charged with firearm offences after a replica pistol and a number of other items were seized during a search of a property on Henry Parry Drive, North Gosford.

In other raids across Doyalson, Woongarrah, and Ettalong Beach, police allegedly further seized steroids, methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, a motorbike believed to be stolen, cannabis plants, MDMA, a hydroponic set up, and amphetamines. A number of OMCG members were charged following the raids.

Strike Force Raptor was established by State Crime Command’s Gangs Squad in 2009, targeting outlaw motorcycle gangs and associated criminal enterprises.
