  1. Mr Eden Meena was honoured with a Heart of Gold award at the ceremony along with Kathy Glover and myself and the paramedics that attended on that day. It was the quick action of Eden in alerting the bank of Mr Bartlett’s collapse and his continuation of CPR chest compressions for a long time until the ambulance arrived that was instrumental in Mr Bartlett’s survival.
Eden was able to do great CPR which allowed Nurse Kathy Glover to run back to the medical centre to get the defibrillator which was used twice on Mr Bartlett prior to the ambulance arriving.
I agree that as a bystander who stepped in to help save a persons life, Eden’s actions were truly heroic and deserving of the highest praise. Unfortunately because he is overseas at present he was not interviewed by the media for this story.
