WEATHER TO CLEAR UP TOMORROW

Heavy rain and flash flooding affecting the Far North Coast is expected to ease by tomorrow morning.

Over the past 12 hours as much as 40 millimetres of rain has fallen across the Tweed, while around 60 millimetres has hit Lismore.

“We’re watching the river heights, they’re not going up too high, we’ve got more concerns about flash flooding issues, low-lying roads, highways, we’ve also got drains that can fill up quite quickly”.

Another 50 mills is expected to fall along the coast in the next 12 hours between Tweed Heads and Ballina.
