DRIVER SERIOUSLY INJURED IN TWEED HEADS SOUTH CRASH

A man in his 20’s was seriously injured in a collision between a car and a truck on the far north coast yesterday.

Around 5.30pm, emergency services responded to reports of a vehicle collision between a truck and a sedan on the M1 motorway in Tweed Heads South.

As a result of the impact, the sedan has left the road and hit a nearby tree.

The 22-year-old female driver of the sedan was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

The passenger of the sedan, a 22-year-old man, was taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The 68-year-old male driver of the truck was uninjured, and he was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
