JETS W-LEAGUE WIN OVER SYDNEY KEEPS FINALS HOPES ALIVE

The finals aspirations of the Jets women are hanging in the balance, despite their impressive win over Sydney FC last night.
The Wanderers today beat Canberra to push Newcastle back to fifth, while Melbourne City beat Brisbane to leapfrog the Jets into fourth.
The situation on the ladder takes nothing away from the win over the league-leading Sky Blues.
After missing a penalty against Brisbane last round, American import Arin Gilliland scored a second half hat-trick.
Newcastle must now beat Melbourne City in the final round in Coffs Harbour, to have any chance of finishing in the top four.
