CATHO CLASSIC RUN AND WON

Nords Wharf’s Danielle Hancock has taken out her second straight women’s title at the Catho Classic, with the finals held today in small, choppy conditions.

Wyee Point’s Luke Mullins won his third title in the men’s over 50’s category, while Mick Spencer went one better in the open division.

The Lake Munmorah surfer made the most of the waves on offer and was unanimously voted as the champion in the blue ribbon event for the fourth time in his career.

Having finished fourth in 2015 and 2016, Toukley’s Ryan Slattery improved by two places to grab second.

2010 men’s champion Tyler Williams from Belmont rounded out the top three.
