Two teenagers are being questioned by police after a serious assault on the Gold Coast early this morning.
At about 2am, a 21-year-old man was punched in the back of the head on Ferny Avenue in Surfers Paradise.
The punch caused him to fall to the ground and hit his head on the pavement.
He was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with serious head injuries.
Two boys, aged 16 and 15, are assisting police with their enquiries.
