BABYSITTER YET TO ENTER PLEA OVER FATAL CRASH

The babysitter, charged over a crash that killed a policeman’s four-year-old daughter, is yet to enter a plea.

19-year-old Courteney Pearl Matthews was excused from appearing in Lismore Local Court today.

The parents of Elle Underhill, who was killed when the car she was in crashed near Casino last December, were in court when the matter was mentioned today but it was adjourned until February.

Elle’s younger sister was also seriously injured in the accident.

Matthews is facing four charges, including dangerous driving occasioning death.
