Firefighters are working to contain two out-of-control bushfires at Patonga.
The RFS says a strong southerly change is due this afternoon and may push the fires towards Umina.
It’s also warning residents in Pearl Beach to start preparing now.
Multiple crews are at the scene and are working to contain the fires, along with waterbombing aircraft.
