18 people have been caught shoplifting on the Central Coast following a police blitz on some of the region’s retail hot spots ahead of Christmas.
In the most serious offence, a 24 year old man was taken to Gosford police station yesterday and charged with stealing, resisting arrest and assault.
He will appear before Gosford Local Court in January.
Police say they have plans for further operations targeting shoplifting as the festive season draws closer.
