SOLI THROUGH TO ROUND THREE OF TRIPLE CROWN

Suffolk Park’s Soli Bailey has won through to round three of the Triple Crown event at Hawaii’s Sunset Beach.

After a slow start, Bailey posted his two highest scoring waves at the back of the heat, to finish two points clear.

“It was always going to be a catch up once I kind of stuffed the first part of the heat up, but it’s always nice to come back and it was just lucky that the opportunities were there to produce those scores”

He’s chasing a 4th place finish to book a place on the championship tour.

Today’s heat win came at the expense of Le-Ba’s Stu Kennedy, who’s Sunset campaign came to an end.

Currently ranked 18 on the CT, Kennedy is hoping for a strong result at Pipeline next week to cement his spot for 2017.
