BOWLING CLUB TARGETED BY ARMED ROBBERS

Police are searching for four men, after a terrifying armed robbery at Club Old Bar overnight.

Around 10pm, the group entered the bowling club with their faces covered, threatening staff and patrons with knives.

“One staff member was actually forcibly taken to a safe in the premises, where a significant amount of cash was stolen,” Detective Inspector Peter McKenna said.

Police say one of the patrons tried to stop them.

“A wrestle has taken place, however the offender has left the scene and the patron thankfully wasn’t injured.”

The offenders are believed to be aged in their 20s, with dark skin and thin to medium builds.
