BYRON COUNCIL ASSESSING BANGALOW ‘FOOD HUB’

Byron Shire Council is currently assessing plans for a $23 million food precinct at Bangalow.

If approved by Councillors and the Joint Regional Planning Panel, the project would include spaces for several large food producers, a growers market and a cafe.

Bangalow’s Progress Association is concerned about the proposal’s size and impact on traffic flow.

Staff will make a recommendation to councillors in the coming weeks.
