A man will face court after allegedly pouring petrol on a woman during a domestic dispute on the central coast overnight.
Around 11pm, emergency services responded to reports of a domestic argument at a Budgewoi address.
Police allege a 55-year-old man poured petrol on a 48-year-old woman. Attempts to ignite the petrol have failed.
The 48-year-old woman was able to call Triple Zero and raise the alarm.
She was taken to hospital by ambulance, before receiving further treatment in hospital. She is believed to be in a stable condition.
The 55-year-old was charged with burning/maiming with a dangerous fluid and refused bail.
