CHARGES LAID FOLLOWING TELEGRAPH POINT FATALITY

Charges have been laid over a road fatality on the mid north coast back in May.

On the evening of Sunday the 22nd of May, emergency services responded to reports of a head-on collision on the Pacific Highway at Telegraph Point, south of Kempsey.

A 48-year-old man from Laurieton was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.

The other driver – a 62-year-old man from Clybucca – was transferred to John Hunter Hospital.

Following investigations, police charged the 62-year-old man with dangerous driving occasioning death, negligent driving occasioning death and not keeping left of the dividing lines.

He will appear before court on Wednesday 14 December.
