The Hunter’s Suzy Batkovic and her Townsville Fire have made it two from two to start the WNBL season, with an 85 to 56 victory over Adelaide.
Batkovic scored 12 points and pulled down four rebounds in just 20 minutes on the court, after running into foul trouble in the second quarter.
Her teammates admit it’s the kind of test they needed, to ensure they can step up in the absence of the reigning league MVP.
