An elderly climber had to be rescued this afternoon, after becoming stranded while climbing Cape Byron.
The 70-year-old man made it halfway up the headland, when he got stuck and phoned police.
Volunteer Rescue Association personel were then brought in, to lower him to safety.
Luckily, the adventurer escaped uninjured.
