Anti-coal activists claim another proposed Hunter Valley mine has avoided scrutiny during the approval process.
Lock the Gate argues the companies behind the Wambo United operation, slated for near Singleton, have used a flawed environmental assessment process in their submission to the state government.
The Department of Planning and Environment says the mine proposal, currently on exhibition, is well progressed… and will be subject to community consultation before being finalised.
