HEALTH EXPERTS SEEK YOUTH FEEDBACK

Health department officials have met with  young people in Ballina, to hear whether current services are meeting their needs.

Discussions focused on service availability in rural areas and how education could be improved.

“A lot of school programs and stuff tell us what we should be thinking about things.”

“You can definitely see certain areas that could definitely be improved.. But… I think we’re definitely heading in the right direction.”

The officials will use today’s feedback, to modify and improve policies and services.

“We really want to say OK how can we make health different for young people and make sure that they grow and have healthy adult lives.”
