Figures released by the Bureau of Crime Statistics show a rise in the number of fraud offences committed throughout the Northern Rivers.
Over the last twelve months, fraud cases have risen around 36 percent in the Richmond-Tweed, jumping from from 949 to 1294 in the last financial year.
The figures come as police warn residents of an increase in phone and internet scams.
