  1. Someone is telling porkies again………the “Heritage Listed” steam locomotives……….? Mr Richards sold them to a buyer in Dorrigo. Were not to leave the Hunter. Avid collector?? Don’t think so….

  2. Get your head out of your arse. If the buyer in Dorrigo hadn’t bought those locos, Richards would’ve scrapped them where they stood because he wouldn’t make money off of them otherwise.

  3. Chalk this one up Renee, you’ve now interviewed the lowest of society, hope the better assignments arrive soon.

  4. Never forget the historic collections already scrapped. The U-Boat set, a number of sole surviving classes of supplementary cars & side corridor cars now extinct. Not much different to what’s happened at Dorrigo many years ago when it was split down the middle.

  5. Exactly! What he calls a “collection” is left rusting in a paddock the public can’t access. Doritos mk2 .

  6. What a beautifully restored and cared for collection – not!
Most of what Mr Richards talks about he dosnt own or has neglected and let rot. Most of his “priceless collection”he has already sold or scrapped.
Anyone who knows him knows hes a crook. Sad to see this stuff in this condition but that’s Richards fault not Huntlees.

  7. Chris Richards is crying crocodile tears. Do not be fooled by his lies, distortions of the truth and total disregard for any concern for history. He is only interested in one thing. Making money by any means possible.

To ANGRY, well Keith Jones and Chris Richards are from the same mold. I have known Keith for over 45 years and he is just a master manipulator. He has sucked you in well & truly, like so many others in his years of çollecting.
Yes he has saved the SMR 10 class locomotives, but only as a favor to his mate & trust me in, about 20 years time they will just be lumps of rusting steel fit for only one thing – scrapping. Dorrigo is a terrible place to store anything made of timber or steel without protection with metres of rain/year.

  8. The whole so called Rail mueseum needs to be investigated, i was led to believe that there has been to Government grants given, lol , what was the money used for, plus the Old Chimney was supposed to have been worked on to save it, hhhmmm,
There are also buildings out there ie Old Office Admin was supposed to be Heratage Listed, will see how long before it is gone,
I was also led to believe Chris Richards was one of the originals of Sweet Water pre Huntlee NBN maybe there might be a better story seeking an investigstion into where the money has been spent and what work has been done and are the Heritage Buildings are going to be no more
