TAIL-GATE TURNS INTO ARREST NEAR LAKE MACQUARIE

A man chose to tailgate the wrong vehicle yesterday near Lake Macquarie.

Just before 3pm yesterday, a 43-year-old man was driving on the M1 when he allegedly tail-gated Assistant Commissioner Jeff Loy before passing him at speed.

The Commander stopped the driver near Marshall Street and performed a roadside breath test. It returned a positive result.

The 43-year-old was charged with mid-range PCA. He will appear in court on Tuesday 27 September.
