SERVICE STATION ATTENDANT INJURED DURING TAMWORTH HOLD UP

An attendant at a service station has been injured during a hold up in Tamworth overnight.

Just before 10:30pm on Friday, three males entered a service station on Goonoo Goonoo Road, Tamworth.

Two of them were armed with weapons.

One of the armed males threatened a 31-year-old male attendant and removed cash from the till.

A second attendant, a 27-year-old man, suffered burns to his lower body after an altercation with the two other males.

The males also stole cigarettes before fleeing in a stolen gold Nissan Pulsar.

The 27-year-old man was taken to hospital by paramedics.

Police would like to speak to three males who they believe may be able to assist with their inquiries.

All are described as being 16-19-years old.

The first male was seen wearing a black hoodie and black pants. The second male was seen wearing a blue hoodie with a motif on the front and black pants, while the third male was seen wearing a black hoodie with a white motif on the front and black pants.
