KENNEDY CRUISES INTO 3RD ROUND

It was a mixed day for Far North Coast surfers, competing in the men’s event at the US Open of Surfing.

Lennox Head’s Stu Kennedy sailed through the second round, posting a heat total of 14.

Byron Bay’s Soli Bailey, however, finished with the lowest score in his heat and was eliminated.

Kennedy now meets Hawaii’s Sebastian Zietz in round 3.
