A man will face trial over the death of a co-worker at Sandgate last year.
44-year-old Geoffrey Michael Strong from Warabrook was today committed to stand trial over the death of Glen Canning.
It’s alleged Mr Strong punched Mr Canning in the face several times during a fight following a collision between a prime mover and a forklift.
Strong is facing one charge of assault causing death.
The trial is set to begin in Newcastle District Court in August.
