BDAFL WOMEN’S REP TEAM NO MATCH FOR CANBERRA COUNTERPARTS

Female aussie rules players will get their own national AFL competition next year – and the growth of the women’s game continued in our region over the weekend.

The newly-formed Central Coast-Newcastle rep outfit took part in two matches against Canberra at Bateau Bay.

Our development side beat the visitors’ youth team 31 points to 24, before Canberra’s senior squad proved too strong for the Black Diamond side, winning by 47.
