HUNTER PHARMACIST CHARGED WITH SUPPLYING PROHIBITED DRUGS

Two men, including a pharmacist, have been charged with drug supply offences, following raids at several Hunter properties.

A 36-year-old pharmacist was arrested yesterday morning, after detectives attached to Strike Force Blacklock searched a home in Lorn.

It follows earlier raids at his home and a pharmacy in Rutherford.

Police allegedly seized more than 100 boxes of prescription medication, steroids, pseudoephedrine tablets and other restricted substances.

He’s been charged with a string of offences including supplying a prohibited drug.

Meanwhile officers also raided two other homes at Tenambit and East Maitland.

A 30-year-old man was arrested at Tenambit and later charged with several offences, including supplying a prohibited drug.
