WAYNE BROWN ARRIVES IN NEWCASTLE TO BEGIN LIFE AS A JET

He’s played against Manchester United at Old Trafford – but Englishman Wayne Brown believes he’ll have to work for a starting spot at the Newcastle Jets.
The 27-year-old believes the standard here is much higher than in Finland, where he’s spent the past three seasons.
“First of all I have to make the starting 11 it’s going to be tough .. there are some good players here.”
Brown arrived in the Hunter yesterday and is looking forward to reuniting with coach Scott Miller, who he worked with at Fulham.
“Hard working manager, wants to get that out of his players. Very professional and that’s the sort of manager I want to be under. One who’ll push me and make me as good as possible.”
