FIVE CHARGED OVER ELANDS DRUG BUST TO FACE COMMITTAL HEARING

Five people, charged following the alleged discovery of an elaborate hydroponic cannabis set up near Taree, will face a committal hearing.

It’s also alleged officers found an eight-year-old boy locked in a shed, when they searched the home at Elands on December 18 last year.

The five people remain in custody, with no applications made for bail when their cases were heard at Taree Local Court today.

They’re due to face court via videolink on July 5.
