MAN STABLE FOLLOWING HUNTER VALLEY CRASH

A 30-year-old man remains in a stable condition in John Hunter Hospital, following a serious car crash in the Hunter Valley yesterday afternoon.

Emergency services were called to Old North Road at Rothbury just after 3pm, after a ute slammed into a tree.

The driver was trapped for around two hours, before being taken to hospital by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter with possible leg injuries.

The 30 year old man involved in the horror car crash on old north road, north rothbury was very lucky to survive, after losing control of the vehicle which was loaded with firewood he then rolled the vehicle several times before hitting a tree crushing the roof & leaving the driver trapped, with the free inches from his head rescue services did a amazing job working for over 2 hours to free the man, he was taken to john hunter hospital in a stable condition, after surgery the man is doing much better & is now on the road to recovery with his beautiful wife & children by his side, it’s a dangerous loose dirt road with many Ute’s using it as a short cut to get to & from local mines, many of them speeding along taking no consideration of other drivers, local council needs to address the fact that old north road is unsafe & provide more funding to improve this road before more accidents occur.
