The Civil Contractors Federation of New South Wales is calling on the Office of Local Government to investigate Coffs Harbour City Council.
The state’s peak body for civil construction claims by setting up a business, known as ‘Coastal Works,’ council is electing to compete against its tax payers.
But Council says “commercially won revenue has been, and will continue to be, sourced by Coastal Works from clients outside of the Coffs Harbour economy.”
Adding that “the result will continue to form a net inflow of benefits for the local economy.”
