TWO MORE MEN CHARGED WITH MURDER OF MISSING GOLD COAST FATHER

Two more men have been charged with the murder of missing Queensland man Greg Dufty.

The body of the Gold Coast father-of-two has never been found, but police believe it was burned over a number of days after he disappeared on July 6.

Last year, police charged three men with the 37-year-old’s murder.

Police allege the men killed Mr Dufty over a drug debt and an alleged cannabis theft.

Mr Dufty was allegedly bashed unconscious at a meeting place in the Gold Coast hinterland, before his body was wrapped in a tarpaulin and disposed of, police said.

Investigators previously searched a NSW property for evidence and uncovered some “items of interest”, taken from the search site off Busbys Flat Road in Wyan.

Earlier today, Queensland Police said their NSW counterparts had arrested a 22-year-old man this morning in Sydney and charged him with murder.

He is expected to be extradited to Queensland.

A 28-year-old man was also arrested in Victoria, and had previous charges against him upgraded to murder and misconduct with regard to a corpse.

He had previously been charged with being an accessory to the murder.

Queensland Police will also seek his extradition.

Today’s arrests bring the total number charged with Mr Dufty’s murder to five.
