BEARS TEST COUNTRY

The Country side continued its preparation for Sunday’s clash with City in Tamworth, with a session against the Group 4 premiers this afternoon.

The players say it’s an extra chance to work on their combinations.

“Work hard, and work out how each other play. It’s only a short time we’re together, but so far it’s been really good and the guys have gelled well. So hopefully get through a good session tonight.”

Preparation has been difficult, with four of the City side having less than 20 games NRL experience.

“They’re full of talented players, and there’ll be a lot of excitement. As you said, we won’t know what we’re going to get, so it makes it all the more dangerous.”
