A 24-year-old Newcastle man has been accused of repeatedly stabbing his older brother in the chest.
It allegedly occurred just after midday yesterday, in a home on Rudd Street in Lambton.
The 24-year-old is charged with malicious wounding – police claim his 30-year-old brother was stabbed up to four times with a steak knife.
He’s in a stable condition at John Hunter Hospital.
