ASSISTANT MINISTER VISITS SOUTHERN CROSS LABS

Southern Cross University’s science faculties have been given the once over by Assistant Minister for Science Karen Andrews.

She toured the campus alongside Member for Page Kevin Hogan, to see first-hand how research being undertaken by students and staff is progressing.

“We’ve looked at the geosciences area where there is both fundamental research and also applied research going on.”

“Southern cross have positioned themselves recently to be experts, in the world, in geoscience and they have some great research projects going on here.”

The federal government has invested almost $7million into several projects onsite, as part of a renewed focus on science, technology, engineering and maths.
