A 45-year-old Bonville man is receiving treatment at the Gold Coast University Hospital after being impaled on a star picket during renovations at his home.
Around 1.20pm yesterday, New South Wales Ambulance attended the scene after it was reported he fell from a ladder and suffered serious injuries.
He underwent surgery at Coffs Harbour Hospital and was later airlifted by Westpac Life Saver Rescue Helicopter.
