A woman has been indecently assaulted while walking at Lake Munmorah, on the Central Coast.

Police say the 33-year-old was walking her dog on a footpath on Elizabeth Bay Drive at around 5pm yesterday, when she noticed a man run from a carpark near the intersection of Quisenberry Drive.

After losing site of him, the woman then noticed the man sitting on a log next to the footpath. She walked past and he followed, approaching her from behind and indecently assaulting her.

The man’s described as being between 18 and 23 years old, with a medium complexion, thick dark hair, brown eyes and a scar or mark on his cheek. He was wearing a dark singlet, board shorts and thongs.
