KNITTING NANNA AVOIDS ARREST OVER PARLIAMENT STUNT

An anti CSG protestor has escaped arrest, after locking herself to the gates of Parliament House in Sydney.

Clare Twomey, who’s part of the Knitting Nannas protest group, spent eight hours tied to the gates on Friday evening.

Ms Twomey says she was highlighting the Baird Government’s new anti-protest laws, which she’s claims are a direct attack on democracy.

The stunt ended peacefully, when the north coast local untied herself without incident.
