YOUNG KNOCKS OUT KENNEDY AT BELLS

Stu Kennedy won’t be making a finals appearance at Bells Beach, after being bundled out in the third round of the Ripcurl Pro.

The Lennox Head product struggled against Nat Young of the United States.

His two-wave score of 7.67 the lowest of the round.

Young nearly doubled that easily, finishing with a combined score of 13.5.

Kennedy’s exit leaves Tyler Wright as the region’s only surfer left in the competiton.
