TWO MEN FACING FRAUD AND DRUG OFFENCES

Two men are facing fraud and drug offences, following an investigation into stolen credit cards at Lake Macquarie.

Police allege a number of credit cards were taken from cars in the suburb of Floraville on March 8, and were used to purchase items across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.

Two men, aged 29 and 27, were arrested near Perkins Street, with officers allegedly seizing several credit cards and an unknown amount of drugs.

The older man is facing five counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception and two counts of possessing a prohibited drug, while the younger man has been charged with six counts of dishonestly obtaining property by deception.
