Small swell at Snapper Rocks has delayed the start of the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast.
The event will see Port Macquarie’s Matt Banting make his highly-anticipated return to the world tour, after eight months out with a knee injury.
The 21-year-old will meet compatriots Mick Fanning and Wade Carmichael in his round one heat.
