The Australian cutting horse champion will be crowned in Tamworth, this weekend.
The National finals began at the AELEC today, with about 100 runs across the open novice and snafflebit divisions.
While a Queensland-trained horse is the favourite for the main prize.
“Ducks Dux, that mare has won over $150,000. She actually won the Open Futurity here, if my memory serves me right, probably four years ago.”
The Open final will be held on Sunday afternoon.
